Passenger shipping

Every year passenger ships bring more than 100,000 passengers into Basel. The Port of Switzerland coordinates the assignment of moorings at the St. Johann, Klybeck and Dreiländereck passenger ship terminals. The moorings are subject to especially high demand during the BaselWorld watch and jewellery fair; recently, though, they have also been subject to high demand even outside of this high season.

Regional passenger traffic on the ships Lällekönig, Basler Dybli and Christoph Merian does not fall within the scope of responsibilities of the Port of Switzerland. You will find routes and coordinates on the website of Basler Personenschifffahrtsgesellschaft BPG.
